Español 7This course is designed to provide you with an introduction to the Spanish language and culture. The first year of learning a language is very important; this is where the foundation of Spanish is built. The course focuses on the four communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing while including many activities designed to introduce you to the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.
Learning a new language requires frequent exposure, therefore some of the course will be conducted in Spanish. In return, you will be expected to communicate in Spanish to the best of your ability! Units of Study:

Español 8This high school course is designed to build on and continue the communication skills and cultural knowledge that you gained in the seventh grade. You will strengthen your Spanish vocabulary, grammar skills, and overall comprehension and proficiency. There will also be many activities designed to expand your knowledge of Spanish culture and customs.
At the end of this course you will take a final exam that evaluates your ability to communicate in Spanish. There are four parts to the exam: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Since this course earns one high school credit, your overall average will appear on your academic transcript at the high school. Units of Study:
